Valentina Tereshkova - The First Woman in Space is the first film of a series on early space travel by local Arivaca filmmaker Bart Santello. This film delivers media images from the early Russian Space Program in the form of a tone-poem depicting a perception of history. Valentina is the filmmakers artistic presentaton of historical events surrounding the orbital space flight of Cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova on June 16, 1963.
